New Orleans Mardi Gras 2010 Hotel Recommendations???

Its been about 7 years since I've attended a Mardi Gras in New Orleans. I'm making my plans to go in 2010. I want to stay in the French Quarter which will put me in walking distance to the parade routes and all the activities that go with this event.....

Before making hotel reservations I was looking for some "been there - done that" recommendations on where to stay. Is there a hotel you'd recommend to stay or stay away from? I was looking at under $200 per night.

I just got back from a week at the Hilton Riverside. Its pretty nice with fresh rooms.

There is a Marriott nearby as well. Harrahs has a hotel too, I believe.
