It's a PowerPoint competitor. But like other Google document tools, you are able to "collaborate" on the documents, etc.

Interesting, but this would be a lot more useful if the collaborative tools operated in a secure internal network. Quite frankly, most of the people who would be working on collaborative presentations are probably at corporations and dealing with sensitive information that they don't want accidentally leaked out. The mechanism they propose is easy to use, but isn't particularly secure. That's too bad because I'm working on something right now that could really benefit from this...
I'm not an IT person, but I'm assuming your talking about some back end security issues right? Because you have control over who "collaborates" on your presentation etc.
If you have any suggestions to make it better for people in your situation, you can either post it here, or PM me if you would like. My brother works there and can give the suggestion directly to the team or an individual if that is the case.
