You may want to unbox it, inspect it, and flush it. There have been several that were delivered damaged/defective in recent months so if you were to sell it the new owner would have no recourse with the vendor that sold it to you if something were to be wrong with it. I'd imagine you wouldn't lose anything from a value standpoint by doing so. Just my .02, YMMV

Bump and update! Still FS! I removed it from the packaging and thoroughly inspected it. I also plugged the inlet and outlet pipes and filled it up with softened water and found no leaks!
