Own a Sprint Kart (50, 80, 100, 125cc) - Join your NSX friends for a day of Karting at CalSpeed Kart Track in Fontana. Bring your kart, if you have kids bring them and their karts too!! This is open practice. Bring your friends that own karts - the more the merrier!

The weather looks to be in our favor this month as the last two have been rainy and cold.

Come out and join ANYTIME (John), Si (Si), coolNSX (Gil), Ilya (Ilya), NSX-ster (Mark), Myself, etc......

Location: CalSpeed Kart Track - California Speedway, Fontana California (West end of facility)

Friday - December 30th, 2011 (corrected)

Track Time: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM / Gates open at 8:30 AM and close at 6:00 PM (NO overnight camping)

Fees: $45.00 per driver / $12.00 all non-drivers - Fees after 1:00 PM = $30.00/$10.00

Be sure to bring plenty of water and sun screen.

There are a couple of fast food places (Jack ITB, Carls Jr and Subway) down the street off the 10 Fwy on Cherry. As long as you have a wrist band you can go in and out of the karting complex.

I have been to cal speed a few times great people. I am starting to compete in there arrive and drive series. Anyone have any experience with this, or do people just compete in LAKC?

I think there are a few members here that do or have done the A&D. You can rent a kart from them for this event, call them first for availability.

I own a Kosmic with a 125 Leopard and have been to Calspeed a number of times. It's a fast layout, so use the right gearing. They do have karts for rent with 125 PRD motors. They charge 195.00 for 45 minutes if I remember right. I've been racing there in the Super Series since last year. The new season starts 1/07 and is open to 100 drivers. I would recommend it to everyone at every skill level. If you enjoy the in-door venues, you love Calspeed. Look for the Super Series on their web site and sign up. I'll see you there! As far as meeting you there with my kart, I might need to sit this one out since I'm still nursing my bruised ribs... But, I still might show up to watch...
