13.475 @ 104.61 missed third again

#6
2.087
13.620 @ 106.91 spun hard leaving, got sideways. got out and then back in

shes a 92 5spd with about 160,000 miles. mods:
ais/uni
cantrell headers/exhaust
gutted cats
taitec diffuser
gutted trunk
removed engine cover
removed spare
carbing brace
buddy club coilovers
disabled traction control
RC 250 cc injectors

runs were made on street tires with very little cooldown. gotta say im pretty damn happy

Those are some really consistent 60 foot times, I ran 13.8 @ 101mph with my completely stock NSX at 2500ft elevation. So that's a reference to compare for your mods.

I would be more than very happy.

108 mph is very fast for an NSX.

Using general power to weight calculations, if your car weighs 2850 and you weigh about 150, that is a total vehicle weight of 3000.

It would take 295 rwhp to go that fast. Your mods don't add up to 295 rwhp... closer to 265 rwhp.

There is a missing 300 lbs or an extra 30hp some where, if the ET/MPH calculators are worth a darn.

Congrats in any event.

thanks!

actually i weigh about 195, atco is pretty much right at sea level and it was FREEZING out. not sure if all the extra air is the source of some of that missing power. or maybe after all those miles theres so much carbon on the pistons the compression ratio bumped up. who knows? im planning to have the car weighed and dyno'ed sometime in the future

your car is definitely quick. what was your launching techniques if you don't mind me asking?

I cant imagine what it would run with a H-B ctsc!

short 1-2 second burnout in first gear and for the launch id use an agressive slip from 4-6 k followed by full throttle as soon as i thought i had traction

damn if I launched like that it would kill my stock 91K mile clutch in a instant. How is yours holding up?

seems to be alright. id get a little bit of scent afterwards, but nowhere near what ive seen from similar launches in newer cars. even so im not taking her to the track very often ;)

Ah, well the cold weather can really help power output.
