Sadly, I will not be able to attend anymore :frown:

A southeast ROTC sports competition just got moved to the weekend of the 4th so I'll be at Auburn.

Anyone doing anything on the Sunday after?

Tentative dates would be nice. I heard the first weekend in April being bandied about. That would be a perfect segue to the Maiden concert on April 2nd in Lauderdale.

What about the week before? 28 March or so?

The last one was mid-March I believe. It wasn't the driest of conditions, but April may be asking for wetness.

Thoughts? 4th is out for me.

Last year was 3/29.

I can move it up a week to 3/28. Whatever works for the most people.

I'm only 3.5hrs away in Columbia, SC and haven't been yet :redface:

I would love to go but wonder if my 4YO daughter would be up for a long drive over, take all those turns, and then make the trip back OK?

March 28th or April 4th would be great!

This is not a trip for a 4 year old IMO. Leave family behind on this one and only be responsible for yourself is your safest bet.

Hi James,

Yes, I agree that's the safest route. I'm not concerned about my skills since I obviously won't be pushing it with her in the car, but I would be worried about oncoming traffic. I just didn't know what to expect since it seems like traffic moves pretty slow, it's just a lot of twisties :smile:

I'll have to give it some more thought - I'm sure the NSX group would be pretty mature on the road and I have no problem taking it easy at the rear of the pack with her in the vehicle. She does love cars though... Wife would definitely be upset if I took off a Saturday without taking one of the kids too :biggrin:

I guess if she is not prone to motion sickness then you'll be ok. Your wife is much more understanding than mine. One trip down the Dragon and my wife told me she was upping my life insurance and my kids could not go… ever!!! ha ha Seriously, consider this. There are 318 turns on that road. I myself find it too much sometimes and have to slow down to get my head in check. I know, I’m a wuss!! I would hate for your long commute to the Dragon to end quickly when you daughter decides she has had enough. Drop her off at my house and she can play with my kids!! Ha ha

You may not drive as hard as I plan too but I have personally made 3 different people throw up on the dragon. Two of them were passengers.

I say we make the weekend of March 28 the official trip. I'll start cross posting.

This is Hotdog from ArsTechnica's forums... I know heySkippy over on the forums over there. Anyhoogle, he posted about this a few months back, then directed me to this forum as the staging ground, so I figured I'd register and check in. I'll be coming from Ohio, driving an Evo. Not exactly an NSX, but hey. I'll be going straight down I-71 and I-75, so if anyone wanted to get together mid way and drive together or somesuch, more than welcome.

I'll be leaving Friday the 27th, early in the morning.
