NSX specialist what a joke
NSX specialists are trained to provide customer service for the car, the only problem with them is they are powerless to make any decisions on repairs. Only the incompotents engineers in Ohio can do that. My recall took almost a month, worst wannabe super cAr you can buy or lease. Poor engineering, stupid and ngineers in Ohio, and Acura is Honda, buy an Audi R8 instead. QUOTE=nsx878;1980722]Thought I'd start a new thread concerning the NSX recall......
My car goes in for gas tank replacement on Oct 8th. I was told parts are available and that they will have my car 4-5 days. So, in on Monday and back on Friday hopefully.
I was also told that my car, Chassis
#878 built Sept of 2017, would NOT need the thermostat or brake light replaced. It appears that the defects in these 2 parts had been identified and resolved at least by the time my car was produced......
The service tech made a good case to bring the car in sooner than later as he felt the potential for fire was serious enough for Acura to spend all this time and money to do it.
He felt that neither insurance nor warranty would cover the cost of a burned down car, once the recall was out. Not worth the risk I guess, so I have opted to go ahead and do it sooner than later. The closest shop with a competent NSX trained mechanic is a 45 min drive, and they have promised a loaner car.......[/QUOTE]
