nsx did a few things wrong IMO, coming from a turbo buick i know turbo races are hard to do heads up. Anyway, the nsx was out of the throttle entirely until light was green shown by the bad eta. should have preloaded or invest in a launch controller. he was also bouncing off the rev limiter heard by the the spark cutout, and the fuel lighting off in the exhaust. It almost sounded like a racelogic unit at first, but after a few times it was definitively cut out. Also sounds like he started in first, with that much power should have started in 2nd if not third. If he has coilovers they are not set for drag as the car squats to the rear too much.

A good launch would have put the nsx ahead, as it almost made up that 1 second trap time at the end.

It looks like a somewhat novice driver vs, someone thats done it before. you can have all the Hp in the world, but if you dont know how to drag on a real track, because it IS different than the street, you will have a hard time. Give the nsx driver a few more runs, confidence in their car , almost looked like he was afraid to break an axle.

just my 2 cents

A 700HP NSX has a hard enough time with traction... Then add a damp surface and what do you expect (Porsche had it's windshield wipers on)?

reaction time was the killer :frown:

Hope he got murdered cause he was a novice/bad driver
If not then he wasted a lot of money building a paper tiger

Where was this? The quality of the video is awesome, the dragstrip and the area looks really nice too. Nsx needs a better driver.

As some of you guys know when you have that kind of hp in a turbo car it is very hard to launch. In the second race the NSX won if you look at the results, it posted a speed of 291 kph which is about 180 mph in a mile. That is pretty impressive,if you dont think that is that impressive on street tires then post your time under the same conditions and then give the driver some feedback.

If the nsx had some better tires It wouldnt need ones that stick out 1 foot on either side.

ok so i have seen the video and honestly the driver is doing something wrong

here are two videos when i was all motor 375hp me racing a 997 twin turbo 550hp - street race from light to quarter mile

here is the video of the start
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4V-5FgJA0LM

and the and of the quarter and the race happened 3 times cause they couldnt believe the result so the kept changing drivers and actually i made
3.ooo euros from that night 1.000 a race

good to see some experience checking in. Have you run your car at the track yet? I am sure you will be the first to get in the nines, I just cant wait to see the numbers.

thanks and havent runned it yet. im pritty confident that low 10"s are there dont know about 9's really really hard but shurely would love that slip :)

He did a few things wrong but you guys do know he was racing a stable 911 as well, hurts to watch but great video quality

He should have added 2 step, low rpm launch and preset boost by gear. He has too much power that he would just spin even with ET tires(looks like), and his burn-out was quick. I dont think his LSD is set up as well. I belive what the other guys say about the power, it looks like its in the realm of high 500s.

He won the second race by posting a quicker time over the distance.
Did he purposely let the Porsche go first so they are not side by side. The timing is from when the car sets off and not when the light goes green... No?
