You read correctly. NSXCC has been invited to take part in the Toronto Honda Indy on July 13 & 14 to showcase our prized possessions. In particular, 6 of our lucky members will be taking a parade lap along the legendary Exhibition Circuit. At this point very little details have been shared, but Honda has requested for all interested members to come forward. To enter your car, you will need to email the following information to [email protected] by Friday May 31. Or simply respond to this post and add pictures.

Model year
Colour combination
Style (coupe/targa)
Interior and exterior conditions (showroom/very good/good/fair)
A list of major modifications
4 good quality pictures of your car

Once we have gathered all entries, the list will be forwarded to Honda Canada for final selection. You will be notified by NSXCC if you are selected. Note we are NOT required to leave our cars overnight, nor do we require to park at an exhibit hall for public viewing.

If you are interested, please email your entry to [email protected] by 11:59pm FRIDAY MAY 31.

Thank you and we look forward to your entry.

So how is going to show Tony K how to drive around the Toronto Indy circuit....in a real Car:wink:

After seeing the race yesterday, it isn't Tony who needs the driving lesson, but Dario. The crowd was not happy the race finished, to say the least.

So far we have 11 entries for 6 spots. There are at least 3 more who have not entered. We are going to need more spots. How about that Bram? Would Honda be opened to giving us a bigger spot light?

We are up to 15 cars (ssjrd included) And counting. This is going to be tough. Deadline is Friday the 31st.

EDIT:
19 cars have entered as at May 29. We need a few more spots!!

Thanks Tommy. Our cutoff was Friday May 31. Sorry we can't make exception. We have 22 cars in total so this process will take some time.
To those who have entered and yet to renew your 2013 membership, you need to do that first (send paypal to [email protected]). Thanks.

Come on. Have some faith in your ride. For sure there are plenty of interest which is to be expected. 3 year ago we had 20+ cars at the exhibition place for the Honda Indy display and that was with half the membership base today. I was surprised not more than 30+ cars want in. With 6 cars it is what it is, and it will be a special moment for us few to represent the club and our generation of Nsx owners proudly.

Its all good :) always next year, been really busy with my builds i forgot to check on the forums :)

Due to overwhelming response, Honda has agreed to increase the number of parade lap cars to 10, being 5 on Saturday and 5 on Sunday. In addition, we were successful in negotiating a passenger per each parade lap participants. This is a game changer for many of us. In any events, all applications have been submitted to Honda for review and we expect their selections within the next two weeks. Good luck to all.

For the purpose of transparency, here are all qualified entries (2 pictures per car shown here) submitted to Honda, presented here in random order:

way to represent nsxcc! nice mix of stock/modded cars......I hope all the Porsche sissies are jealous:tongue:

Thanks to everyone who participated in the Toronto Indy Parade Lap drive selection process. It was certainly not an easy task for the Indy organizers. With a final count of 22 cars, it took a good 2.5 weeks to arrive at their selections. From Honda Canada, they are sending their appreciation for our support as this opportunity not only benefit members, but also a great promotion for the pending release of the new NSX.

Along with their selections, they have scheduled their preferred cars for Saturday and Sunday. Each of you will have the option to 1) drive in (the morning) on the day of the lap, or 2) bring your car in the night before, prep and have it ready for the next day. Either would work and Honda is leaving the option to us. They do stress this will be a "rain or shine" event, so to those who refuse to drive theirs in the rain, please keep this in mind. In the event of hail/thunder storm, we would inform the organizers and make necessary adjustments.

Another note, drivers are allowed to bring a passenger so please DO NOT leave the seat empty (email ME if you need a passenger). Also, each car will be provided with two VIP passes for the day, as details haven't been finalized you could be getting VIP passes for the full weekend. This is still to be determined.

Here are the 10 cars selected to represent NSX Club of Canada:

Saturday July 13
Chris L (Black 02 converted 91)
Paul K (White 92)
Jim E (Black SC 94)
Danny M (Yellow 00)
Robert C (Zanardi 99)

Sunday July 14
Sean F (Red 91)
Bash P (Custom Gray 91)
Robert M (Black SC 93)
Rick S (Red 96)
Chris W (Imola 02)

Congratulations to all winners. Further details to follow.
