Just registered. Super excited about this. I've driven Sebring in Forza alot but never been there in real life. Should be interesting to see how it compares.

Just a FYI, they have repaved parts of Sebring and several areas are less then stellar. The brake zone at Turn 7 has been completely repaved the entire width of the track, starting just past the walkover bridge all the way to turn in. it's marginally smoother. Turn 6 which is a high speed sweeper, had the entire inside line repaved and it's now an even bumpier section then it was previously. Hopefully the track will fix these areas as they are extremely rough and unbefitting a track of this caliber.

Agree with that assessment. Just put your weight bearing left wheels on the smooth old pavement of the high speed right hand sweeper turn 6 and you should be fine.

I can't imagine it could be any bumpier than Turn 17, especially if apexing all the way to the inside (which I typically try to avoid, 'cuz it is so darned bumpy), is it?

Turn #6 is far worse than #17 , the recent work has only amplified it's issues. This will be especially true with a car with a "less" than compliant suspension. Another issue which was never answered was whether a sealer had been applied to the new sections. These areas will be slippery until fully bedded with new rubber in any kind of precipitation.

does that include urine from the student groups:biggrin:

Just a reminder to register for the track event if you are planning on doing it. The Novice group is almost full so if you are on the fence please register asap before run groups get closed out.

Is there a tech form we need to fill out? Will we have enough time to change out brake pads for the track day, and would there be tools available like a jack or a lift or should we bring our own if need be?

Any track day is busy and although there is some down time to change pads and do maintenance it is best to have your car ready to go for a full day and plan on changing pads only if necessary during the day. In other words, put the new ones on before heading down.

There is no guarantee of any tools being available other than what each driver brings. That being said, generally someone has tools with them and some bring a jack but we don't provide any. There will not be a lift available.

Here is the download link for the tech inspection:

Here is a link which is great for the Novices and their preparation for a track event, with the tech sheet being linked under "Car Preparation" http://www.chinmotorsports.com/InsideChinTips.aspx
