The Asian females are very afraid to get their faces tan, burned from the sun because they want to keep their skin fresh and healthy without any freckles or wrinkles. They always either use umbrellas or wearing big hats to cover their skins.

So, wearing these masks are the only solution while enjoying the beaches.
