04/30/05 Event UPDATE - JUST 3 weeks to go! -
As usual – we all have too much to do & too little time to do it in and time flies by – so NOW it is time to think about the event at before it is too late.
In the last week our sign ups have hit 25 – only 12 more to go, so if you are thinking of coming out – now is the time to hit the sign up button, then print out the tech sheet, and make sure that your ride is ready to rock!
If you have never been to a track event - this track is one of the safer ones around, and if you have been to a few events before - come see how your skills stack up on a track designed from the get-go to teach track skills on. Home of the Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch Advanced Driving School, this 2.2 mile 10 turn track track is challenging to the more advanced drivers. Besides - Vegas is just down the street! :biggrin:
Weather this time of year is perfect for track days: (next week)
Tuesday...Sunny. Highs in the mid 70s.
Tuesday Night...Clear. Lows in the upper 40s.
Wednesday...Mostly sunny. Highs in the mid 70s.
Wednesday Night...Clear...Breezy. Lows in the upper 40s.
Thursday...Sunny. Highs in the lower 70s.
Thursday Night...Mostly clear. Lows in the lower 40s.
Friday...Sunny. Highs in the mid 70s.
Friday Night...Mostly clear. Lows in the lower 40s.
Saturday...Mostly sunny. Highs in the upper 70s.
Etc.
So if you think we are racing in Death Valley – think again, the weather will be perfect.
We have the opportunity with just 12 more cars (and you know that NSX's are the "preferred car" :biggrin: ) signing up to have only 2 RUN GROUPS = MAX track time/$ of ~ 4 hours each. Last time, we had lots of Radicals there so for safety’s sake they had their own group, and we had to have a 3-group rotation. With 12 more NON radical entries, we can have 2 groups and that's 30% more track time for the same $160.00/driver - so get off your butts and beat the bushes (or local speed shops and garages) for a few more bodies.
