When I put the car lights on the AC control panel and the radio dim as is normal/expected.
When I use the variable dimmer control the dash lights, ac control, cruise and rear window demistor, tcs, door mirror switch etc all vary in illuminance up and down.
The radio does not vary and it is either bright with the lights off or a preset dim level with the lights on, not adjustable.
Is this normal?
The reason I ask is that I replaced my 96 radio with an 04 unit....I can't remember if the old unit had adjustable brightness and I don't want to go to the trouble of refitting it just to check...
Anyone else able to switch their lights on and check for me please?
