Should I paint the hood? I'm torn.<br><a href="http://s239.photobucket.com/albums/ff55/korttothenee/?action=view&current=HPIM0498.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i239.photobucket.com/albums/ff55/korttothenee/HPIM0498.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

paint. leave duct exposed

+1, that's exactly what I'm going to do when I get mine from Downforce. I think that the pure CF hood looks a bit out of place on the car, especially without other carbon parts. Paint it, but leave some carbon "bling" inside of the duct.

The headlights create an awkward break IMO. Would look better if the roof were black. Otherwise I vote for paint.

I like black hoods, especially CF. Gives the car that gunfighter look, like the black leather vests of old. If you plan on keeping the car for a few years, I vote to leave it alone until you get a few stone chips or scratches, then paint it...BLACK! ;-P

Looks good either way, red or black.

A couple of months ago I ask exactly the same question here on Prime on a red NSX with anice NSX-R hood from VIS. Only difference being the fact that I also have the NSX-R wing.
What I did finally was just having it painted in a very professional way and now, the hood just looks like it Belongs on the NSX and not like some part that was just added to the car.

You know, some people who see a CF-hood will recognise it for what it is, but 99% of the people (or 100% of people in the dark) will just think that you are a cheap guy getting his car fixed and hasn't got around to get it painted properly

Paint your roof black! and get they NSX-R tail.

Other than that paint your hood red, with the CF exposed at the vent.

This is not 100% accurate but it should do , you decide

Leave it and get an NSX-R rear wing
or Leave duct exposed and get an NSX-R wing

+1 Even though its been done time and time again, it looks hot Especially if you have the 2002 valence in the rear
