Palin: insert her foot into mouth......

And think, and listen, and look ahead. If (thoughtless) talking is all that we needed, please watch the Palin/Couric interview. Last time I saw something like that was the speech by Miss Teen (USA) S. Carolina last year.

Regards,

Danny

lol, last time I heard Biden talk, it reminded me some some idiot who tried to fiddle his way through a third grade history test.

That would place him at least three grades above Palin then.

:biggrin::biggrin::biggrin: - That is just priceless.

Don't forget another Palin classic - The bailout is supposed to help fix healthcare.

like listening, a necessary part of the job of president.

Absolutely. That is why Obama listens to every one, only retain what he likes:rolleyes:

Isn't that what a politician is supposed to do? Hell, isn't that what we all do? We listen to all viewpoints and come to our own conclusion?

You keep asking why Obama is a better choice. Why dont you give your reasons as to why McCain is the better choice? It's easier to criticize others for their viewpoints than to formulate your own. I guess we see that in the Palin interviews where she makes jabs at Obama between her stammering.

You also criticize Biden and say he talks like a third grader. C'mon -- are you serious? Are you able to step back and see the way you type?

And before you accuse me of being anything, I'm undecided although I traditionally vote for the Republican ticket.

Read, I explained.

That is brilliant isn't it? I wasn't born here, and I wasn't an English major. Biden? An Washington Insider? A person who supposed to know the history of this nation? Fascinating comparison, isn't it? No, he doesn't talk like a 3 grader, he fiddles his way through Interviews like a 3 grader.

I'll make a deal with you, you learn how to read, I'll learn how to write!!!

Since there is a cheap shot video on Obama, I guess I have to make it fair. :)

This is exactly how I feel about people who strongly support McCain.

They're impervious to logic. They abandon reason. They overlook countless contradictions and missteps and plain blunders and, against all evidence to the contrary, continue to hemorrhage inane, untrue and entirely negative talking points.

Keep it up McCain people! It's working beautifully.

Obama's campaign to date purports:
1. Higher income taxes
2. Higher Social Security taxes
3. Higher investment taxes
4. Higher corporate taxes
5. Massive new domestic spending
6. A healthcare plan, which could possibly be the next step to a full-scale, single-payer system.

Not to mention Defeat and Retreat in Iraq, which will surely condemn our sovereignty!

Ultimately, if we have Barack as President, along with the possibility of having a Democratically-controlled Senate and Congress lending to a total absence of a "checks & balance" system, he will ultimately destroy this country!

If you call this “LOGIC” I hope you get everything you’re wishing for…

And for my next trick: McCain supporters should give their NSX's to me.

And, um, continue with the inane, untrue, and entirely negative talking points. Taxes! Massive spending! Defeat and retreat!

Love it.

but it is good to hear her confirm alaska isn't a foreign country.

I'm actualy amazed that republicans get elected at all:frown: The stereotypical repub. ie Those who are in that 1-5% of the income brackets, also drive the economy by being small bus. owners, spending the most and being taxed the most.Imo trickle up is worthless, trickle down may be a good soundbite for Obama to poke fun at ,but it does work in reality! I bonus/insentivise my employees far more than a democratic tax redistribution ever will. Obama has the gift of gab,he sounds good,oh well

doc,

i'm not anti-republican - i am a registered republican - and i agree with much of what you say.

personally, i was undecided until palin was selected as the vp candidate and more has become known about her / lack of qualifications (from my perspective, anyway.) unless i have an epiphany about her as a result of tomorrow night's debates, i can't vote mc cain this time around.

i feel that any candidate that demonstrates the ability to effectively communicate with their audience (and likely others who are able to hear) is a good, rather than bad, thing.

i'm looking forward to tomorrow night's debate... i think both candidates really need to step up and deliver their best so we have a chance to see them without the "gotcha media" lens that we view them through most days.

Hal I'm just as excited/frightened to hear what does come out of both thier mouths:eek: To me though the big picture of this whole "turn around" new world/change platform is rhetoric/fairy dust. The usa/economy/government is too big a ship to change course over night ie 4 yrs.Our system of two major parties always fighting/duking it out does not allow the controlling party enough time to effect all changes promised.public opinion then sways under the critism. We could go on for ever about it.I'm just amazed at the strength/resolve/egoism/teflon cutis:wink: politicians have.

The inane, untrue, and negative talking points?

Then why was Biden defending that wealthier Americans should pay more in taxes because "it's time to be patriotic ... time to jump in, time to be part of the deal, time to help get America out of the rut."?

More untrue talking points???? This is from Obama’s website:

“Here is the truth: fighting a war without end will not force the Iraqis to take responsibility for their own future. And fighting in a war without end will not make the American people safer.
So when I am Commander-in-Chief, I will set a new goal on day one: I will end this war. Not because politics compels it. Not because our troops cannot bear the burden- as heavy as it is. But because it is the right thing to do for our national security, and it will ultimately make us safer.”
—Barack Obama, Clinton, Fayetteville, North Carolina, March 19, 2008

This is America! Defeat is not an option! If the U.S. withdrew its troops early in the next administration, al-Qaeda will regroup and establish a useful sanctuary in Iraq. In response, we will have to go back to finish the job – probably under HIS 4-year administration….Oh, wait a minute, I forgot Obama will be Commander-in-Chief, we’ll be fighting on American soil! You probably can have my NSX then…

+1

all too true.

Well one's things for sure.

The fix is in for tomorrow night's debate. Instead of finding an impartial moderater, they were able to cast an unabashed Obama supporter.

I'm sure Gwen Ifill's upcoming book about Obama will do very well on the NY Times list.

There's still time maybe we can get William Ayers, or maybe Oprah, to be the next debate moderator.

Everything's a big joke. We can all laugh about lipstick, pigs, gaffes, stutters, incest jokes, baseless smears, etc. But this country is finished. Journalistic integrity is dead and no cares on either side. There's not even a pretense of being fair and even-handed.

Zahntech,

What interested me the most about that video was that the Obama supporter who posted it, believes those people represent the average Southerner.
