There's an open accessory port (switched +12V) on the fuse box near the driver footwell; just crimp on a female spade connector, and it slides right onto the port.

For ground, you can screw into the metal frame around the same area.

Ummm how'd you guys mount this thing? On the thin part of the mirror stalk or the fatter part?

I just mounted mine to the thin part and my mirror doesn't angle correctly. Just seeing what you guys did.

You've installed it too close to the rear of the mirror, install the clamp near the crook in the mirror base.

Do you attach it on the round portion or the square portion of the mirror? I attached it to the round portion and it was pretty much butting up against the square section. I'm not even short and don't angle my mirror down so I can't figure out what the issue was unless you're supposed to attach it on the square section.

I don't want to screw it up again. When I attached everything and forced the mirror to angle downward I must have messed up something on the mounting base. I just purchased a legend mirror.

I got around to finally installing this the other day and have logged some miles.

First I want to say is that the V1 is awesome. I used to have some kind of integrated hidden display and the radar was so quite you couldn't hear it above my engine and stereo. The V1 arrows are handy too.

Second Johns mount is top notch. Once I figured out you have to clamp to the thicker part of the mirror base it was a snap. It's probably the best position for a radar detector also. Again my engine is loud and music is louder so sometimes it's hard to hear an alert. With the radar detector mounted basically right in front of your face it's kind of hard to miss it.
