Priceless comment from an NSX admirer

While I was filling up my X last night, a guy walked over to my car and start going on about how he always wanted one. Then he said (really loudly) how much better he thought the NSX looks as compared to a vette. However, he failed to notice the late model vette and owner standing at the next isle. I responded with an "Ouch, be nice!!". The vette owner smiled, then shook his head. I felt a little embarrassed for both the owner of the vette and the NSX admirer.

I was at a gas station a few weeks ago and had a young girl ask me what kind of car I was driving. I said an NSX made by Honda just like your car...she was driving an RL...and she said "Oh...my car's not a Honda it's made by Acura". I didn't have the nerve to burst her bubble and just said "Oh...have a good night" and drove away shaking my head with a big smile :biggrin:

I'm surprised by how many people don't realize that Acura is Honda, Lexus is Toyota, and Infinity is Nissan.

No they really don't. But at that moment they think you are wrong if you say you drive a Honda NSX, because theoretically, here it's Acura. But it's all good. Just tell them not to look for any Acura Genuine Parts for the car :biggrin:

When i was filling up at the gas station last week ,the store clerk said , wow, nice ferrari.
He was not making a joke just a older middle eastern fellow .

I was reading this thread, i think it was a older one, anyways. It was about which badage to put on the car, and which color. And there were many people saying Acura, Acura, Acura. and someone said something like this, " don't put a Honda badage on your car, and mess up your exotic sports car. Let's get it straight, There really is no such thing as a Acura. Honda made the car, and they deserver the bragging rights. Thats my 2 cents. I guess to each is own though, or some people just don't even have the first clue.

Best compliment ever received was last summer when a couple young school kids (probably 5 or 6 yrs old) were walking by and saw it in the garage, one of them said "nice enzo". Worst compliment was at a gas station and someone asks, "is that the new celica?"

Just this morning on the way to the office, at a red light, a little boy(about 4yrs old) from his mom's minivan was checking out my nsx all the way from the front seat when next to me; then crawling to the back of the minivan when they were turning left to observe some more. Eventhough it was not a comment, it was a priceless moment:biggrin: Once upon a time I was like that :smile:

Anyways Yea i had a guy call it a Nissan NSX not to long ago i was like wtf and just walked away. In the early summer a friend of mine brought some chicks over to my place and my buddy said how do you like his car and they were like its cool, but It looks old..... I blunty said compared to what a ufo.

I was going to make the same comment as you did. But these are not the same as Honda and Acura. Honda is Acura. It was not acquired or inherited or merged. Completely created owned and named by Honda. The same as Toyota and Nissan with Lexus and Infiniti, respectively.
