Question for the Aussies

I got no replies at all when I posted this under "...electronic gadgets"

I am trying to find a product that monitors similar things to what the Carchip does (i.e. speed, acceleration, revs, hard braking etc). The main (but not the only) reason for wanting such a product is to monitor my car when I take it in for servicing. Here is some info on the CarChip:

http://www.davisnet.com/drive/produ...ip_products.asp

When I asked them whether the Carchip would work with my 1991 NSX, I received the following reply:

"The CarChip only works on vehicles that are fully OBD-II compliant. This regulation was fully implemented in 1996. Thus, some 1994 (very few), some 1995 (just a few more than '94) and most 1996 and newer are compatible. Sorry for the bad news Grant, but hey at least you have a kick butt car to play in."

Bugger!!! But he does make a good point!!!

The Drivecam would be great, but is a little expensive:

Does anyone know whether this product (the APEXi RSM REV/SPEED METER) works OK?

http://store.racinglab.com/aprsrevmet.html

The product is regularly for sale on Ebay:

Has anyone got any other ideas for other cost effective products that work with a 91 NSX?

Thanks
Grant
