Nice drive today, back roads and enjoying the sunny day. Decided to top off the tank and caught up to a few Harley’s. Guy in back did a few checks to see what was following him. Ended up following them to a gas station and pulled into the pump next to them. He came right over... said it was awesome that we pulled in behind them. Had a good chat about the NSX and the Harley’s. Nice bikes, tons of chrome.

In front of us was a pickup and the wife/girlfriend asked if she could take it for a drive... then said beautiful car!

And in the service lane after my oil change yesterday a guy was thrilled to see one. Walked around it a few times then off as I talked with the service guy.

I never got this from my Ferrari. People figured I was unapproachable. I bought the NSX for me and what it is, but love sharing and talking about it with others. Every time I fill up someone comes over to talk.

Such a a positive experience and hope it’s the same for you.

Nice to hear. It’s amazing how different cars bring out different reactions from people. I never had as many positive comments than when I drove my old Caterham 7. The car just looked fun and small. Same with my NSX. My old GTR though, got a lot of attention from haters. I’ve heard stories from lambo owners of people flipping the bird for no reason lol.

I've had mostly positive reactions to the car. Lots of thumbs up.

However, I did have a some guy in a beat up 15 year old Tahoe practically run me off the road last week, and after he went by gave me a very animated thumbs down while honking his horn. Dude made quite a scene at the stop light. Weird.

Some people are wired differently. Give them a wide berth. The running you off the road part is pretty disturbing.

Awesome! Not seeing crazy reaction ... but unlike Ferrari, Lambo, McLaren, even Z06/ZR1, Porsche Turbo/GT .. only get MEN to look at, taking photo/ Video, and thumb up .. lots of female look at the NSX, take photo/video !! ^_^ So, I guess Michelle's design works for female!!!

That is something I've noticed as well. I seem to get just as many women looking at the car as men. It's a night and day difference compared to my NA2, which was more like 90% men and 10% women.

Exactly!

The biggest sausage attractor must be my Air-cooled Turbo .. so many dudes (older) will stop me, and chat .. ask if I want to sell, etc etc ... no matter I am driving or at parking lots .. people don't take picture nor video, but just want to chat about the air cooled Porsche .. but not one, not one single female cares .... :frown:

(Other than my wife said it is stinky ....and noisy .. )

Ferrari or Lambo if the top goes down so do the panties......... ........ my wife loves the NSX:cool:

I’ll add this to my list of why not to buy a Porsche! Sausage attractor? That’s rough!

I was doing yard work and my wife took one of her girlfriends to the garage to show her the NSX. I walked in after a while... She said it was beautiful and every view gave a different perspective with angles and blended lines. She liked it better than my Ferrari it replaced (it was a full on race car). She walked around it a couple of times. My wife then told her a woman was the lead exterior designer. She really smiled after that.

There is something going on with this car.

Ferrari.....

Everytime goes to Ferrari gathering,,,,,yes, lots, lots of hot chicks/hot scoccer mom....however, non of them looks happy, just sit in their hubbies' Ferrari, playing their iPhone....(yes, still iphone, not even cool Andriod..) not even want to talk to other chicks ... My wife, my 3 other buddies' wives ... Won't even go at all ....

Lambo? I hardly recall last time seeing a Lambo, not two dudes in it.....

(My wife still don't know what is NSX ... Think that is a corvette or so.....lol)

I sold a racing seat on Craig's list and a young guy came by with his dad to pick it up.

The look on the guys face when he saw the car was priceless.

He told me he had never seen one up close.

His dad liked it to.

Ha ha! I bought my 930 1300 miles away and drove it home. I pulled into the garage weary from the road but super excited to show it to my wife and the first thing she said was "that thing stinks".

She digs the NSX though.

At a recent track day the NSX drew crowds and a lot of compliments. Except one guy with a tuned Civic Si who was dissing how they can't sell them as I walked up. It was a damp day, so I used a half lap to scrub some heat into the tires and he was all over my tail. As soon as we got to the back straight it was bu-bye. After the session he didn't have much to say except "all wheel drive really helps in the wet". True, but seriously dude?

That’s funny, I find my 930 gets a lot of attention from women. I think it’s the Guards Red though.

I live in a mondo condo complex and three times people have stopped in front of the garage to check out the car.

That is not counting the people walking by.

That never happened in the 20 years I have been living there.

The car turns heads for sure.

Did the Rolling Hills/Palos Verdes monthly and was talking to a guy.

He was telling me he has owned everything, at least one of each.

He just got rid of a McLaren because the depreciation was causing him angst.

Anyway, he says he originally didn't like the looks of the NSX, but the more he sees them, the more he is smitten.

He never buys "new" and wanted to know if there were any used ones available.

I told him how I got mine (lease return after the guy had it 6 months).

I mentioned a buddy of mine was looking at one in North Hollywood (casino white) and they were asking around $140k.

I don't know if the guy was BSing me, but his eyes lit up.

Asked me if I knew how it was outfitted (no clue).

He told me that the next monthly meeting I may see him with a white one.

There is a used 130R with only 248 miles (180's msrp located in houston,tx) that could probably be had for 130k or less with some negotiating:smile:

The biggest hurdle I found in buying a "used" supercar is financing.

If new, 100% is no problem (if you don't mind 4% or more).

Used, most banks and credit unions would like 50% down and "out of state" was a NO NO with my credit union.

I have financed multiple cars and a couple of homes through my credit union and I still had to put 50% down.

I did get a loan @ less then 3% over 7 years.

My plan is to pay off the car in less then 1/2 of that.

Never heard of such an issue or experienced it. I've financed a couple of expensive cars bought from out of state. Maybe it's just your credit union.
