Rubbing sound from steering wheel/column while turning

Hello - I am a new NSX owner and I noticed in my 1992 car that when I turn the steering wheel 3/4 revolution or more, there is a noticeable rubbing sound that comes from the steering column or wheel hub. Sounds to me like plastic on plastic rubbing, but I am not sure. Also I think the sound is coming from the underside of the column, but once again I am not sure.

Has anyone here experienced this or a similar issue? If so what is it, and how to fix?
