We've received our shipment from SOS with two carbon fiber hoods. We're really pleased with the finish of them. Very special thanks to Chris. :)
Here are some impressions:
The guy in the middle is the Erwin Rikli, owner of a Honda garage and teamboss of his racing-accord. THE NSX-specialist in Switzerland. :)

Thomas,
I'm glad the hoods got there safely, I spent some time figuring out how to ensure the safety of those hoods during international shipment. I would have hate to see products that you have waited for to arrive damaged and then have to wait another 2-4 weeks.
We would love to see some pics of your NSX on Prime with your new hood.

Yes, the hood is made by VIS.

is that badge rivited on? is it easily removable?

I just have always wanted the sos hood before i even GOT the car... now to hear it is made by vis (which everything I have ever seen in person by them sucks) just kinda kills it :frown:

Great item and one of my favourite upgrade on the exterior.
How much is s&h to Europe? Do you need additional duct under the hood or does it come with mesh?

It's not the Taitec. The Taitec is said to fit not as good as this one.
D'Ecosse has it installed on his car and it fits good. We'll have a look at the fitment in a few weeks when Erich's car will have it installed. The shipping boxes were perfect to protect them from damages. I'm glad they arrived healthy. :)
Unfortunately I've already sold my carbon hood to someone else who needed it due to a crash, so it won't be seen on my car I'm afraid. But maybe we get some of them with the next shipment in the second half of this year. :)

Please ask SOS about shipping. We've done a group-buy with very much parts in four boxes, so it's difficult to calculate one hood for itself. AFAIK you could still use your spare tire. :) There's no need for a duct but it makes sense to me to use one just for the full aerodynamic effect. :D
