Our next event is a weekend at Buttonwillow Raceway; February 26th and 27
th, 2005

Price: $170 one day; $280 2 days ( + $30 instructor fee required for
first-timers)

Duration: 2 days 5 hours of track time per group!**

Track: Buttonwillow Raceway (near Bakersfield)

Registration: Registration is open:
https://www.speedventures.net/event_select.asp

Timing: Transponders are available for rental.

Event Info:

At 3 miles, Buttonwillow is the longest and most technical track in the Los
Angeles area. With twenty-three turns, three elevation changes, the banked
"Riverside" sweeper, and a perfect drift over "Lost Hill" (AKA "Magic
Mountain"), Buttonwillow offers both a unique learning environment, and a
challenge to advanced drivers.

We will be running #25 CW Saturday and #1 CCW Sunday as highlighted in
yellow below. This track is suitable for street cars, though we suggest that
the Riverside turn should be approached at conservative speeds of 70-80 mph
in cars without race rollover protection. The remainder of the turns on this
track are moderate-speed (35 - 70mph). Most Turns have wide runoff areas,
clear of major obstacles.

There will be 3 run groups at this event with limited registration to keep
traffic light. The schedule is here:

This is a great deal at an excellent track. If you're interested, please see
this page for registration.

**Note - Details of this event are subject to change. Event will run rain or
shine.

Just got back from a SV event at the big Willow track. I really like the light traffic (<20 cars in each run group) in each run group. Moti was a good instructor that I was able to learn a lot from him also. I recommend Speedventures and Aaron is a great guy.

I'm planning to attend the Sat (2/26) event. I've tried config 13 CW, and I am ready to try 25 CW. It'll be faster without going through the bus stop. See you in a few weeks.
