Spring replacement..

I swapped shocks on my car, and kept the stock springs. Took me a bunch of time and a lot of effort. The rear lower a-arms don't droop far enough for the springs to come out. Even with a spring compressor. Very tough. I'm sure you'll get good advice from the group, however.

If I remember correctly. The rear were easier for me to do than the fronts. I have a 4 foots pry bar that I used to move the lower control arm with.

My first attempt took me two days. The next swap took 45 minutes for all four corners. It's a pretty steep learning curve.

There are a couple good write-ups on Prime if you search.

Rears were easier than the fronts. Took me 2 days, a total of about 8+ hours. Do a search, someone apparently has a better way of doing it, involving a long 2x4 and leveraging off the unibody and pressing down on the top of the rotor. Also someone mention using the car's weight to compress one corner, and using a few big strong worm screw type hose clamps to keep the spring compressed some.

Good luck. Oh, disconnect the swap bar from left and front a- arms, front and back.

+1 you couldn't have said it better. i had the same exact experience. had to call larry B twice though. but the 2x4 trick really works. do a search under my name. it's only been a few weeks since i did that swap. mind you i also did it all by myself so it took alot longer. but i'll be redoing my fronts with lower springs and i expect to have them done quickly in about an hour.
