A buddy of mine is the Airport Manager at Steamboat Springs and is looking to hold a car event in July. Here is what I recieved from him:
I am going to have it at the airport, and probably offer escorted photo shoots for car groups. We could probably do something on the runway etc.
Its starting to look like July 19 is going to be the magic day. I will see about group rates at hotels in town. I am also talking with scca rally and scca solo groups in Colorado and getting them to come. I’ll also be working with a few others in town. But there are some awesome drives out here.
I’ll get more details as they materialize but it looks like july 19 is going to be the best day for us. It will be open to all and I am working with our local Civil Air Patrol to cook burgers and brats for donation.
