Steering wheel rapid hub question

I just picked up the rapid hub from SOS. Looks like this in case you're not familiar:

My question is regarding how to affix the horn button with this hub. I have a Mugen MOMO Tuner wheel, suede wrapped, and it comes with a matching Mugen horn button. In a typical installation, the momo hub is supposed to be used to affix this steering wheel. The momo hub includes a shim plate that affixes the horn button to the wheel. Without this shim plate, the horn button "sloshes" around in the hole, as its too big to keep the button in place.

Since I'm trying to use the rapid steering wheel hub, I'm wondering how the shim plate works, or if I'm supposed to be using something else to hold the horn button in place. The hole in the rapid hub that is designed to accommodate the wiring and horn button is the same diameter as the hole in the steering wheel. The problem is that the shim plate has a "beaded" edge, and will not sit flush between the steering wheel and the hub. I took a look at the momo hubs, and the hole for the wiring is much larger than the steering wheel hole.

I basically need to find a shim plate that doesn't have this beaded edge, or find another solution. I'm wondering if those cosmetic rings that surround some of the momo horn buttons would do the trick, but I don't think this wheel is designed to use the ring.
