Stoptech Caliper Paint question

I recently acquired a set of stoptech BBKs. The original owner sprayed it gold with automotive caliper paint from Autozone. I want to try to take off the paint and save the original red color. Anyone have any ideas on taking the paint off without compromising the original color or would I have to refinish the whole thing? I'm not looking for something that looks brand new, just something decent enough without it being multiple colors.

Doubtful you'll be able to remove one layer of paint without stripping both. Chances are you'll want to have them re-painted anyways with new logos. Stop tech can help with paint codes and decal sourcing. Lots of guys here have done it.

Damn... thats going to suck.

If you want to sell your gold setup, send me some more info. I might be interested since I'm looking to get gold ones.
