I don't belong here to this forum and have nothing worthy to say but I just want to express my surprise that another german word is (still?) used in your region of the world - Strassenfest (orginal writing would be Straßenfest but the letter "ß" may not be visible with american encoding on your browser).

Hello my German friend!

We do see your "ß" and for those that don't know - it is a "hard ssss" sound. I have been to Germany 8 times over the last year and there are many words we have adopted and use all the time. Hello, perfect, kindergarten - just to name a few. I was surprised as an Italian-American how much I loved Germany (especially the south) and how cultured your society is. It reminded me of how the US probably was in the early 1950's before our endless quest to have the biggest, most efficient, and most profitable everything. It also reminded me of the diet and alcohol consumption reported during the 50's as well!

i wont be able to make it either :(

got some family things goin on that weekend

I would like to come. I haven't met with anybody from this group yet, and I've just put my car up for sale. If its not sold yet, I'll be there. Mine will be the one with the 'for-sale' sign on it
Tom

I'm in! I will post over in the other thread to get them over here.

:frown:

I suck but I am up in Milwaukee for work and may get held over for an urgency I can't get out of.

Mark me down as "hopeful"

I will be there in "limp mode" , hoping my temporary fix holds up...
See you guys in the Morning....

Cory (Best Touch) Hats off to you and Best touch for being a more than gracious host.. What an awesome outing... Family, cars, playing cards, and meeting new friends... It was like we all knew each other already.. It doesn't get much better than hanging out with car guys, eating some good food, and sharing stories... Thanks for getting it all together so quickly at the drop of a hat...

As a group of NSX owners, We and our JDM cars invaded Strassenfest...
five of us got up early, cleaned our cars and headed to the show... Where we all met, some of us for the first time... We got to put faces with tag names...
We got to learn a little more about each other and realized that we had much more in common then our NSXes.. We were all pretty much Car nuts, we were all toking from the same pipe....

We really need to get together again, there are some cool people in out region.
Tom it was nice meeting you and the SO...(Name witheld) We now nknow why Big Country is called big country... Anyone looking for a pretty clean 96, give Tom's car some consideration... It's a pretty straight up beautyy, great price as well.

Well I wish more St. Louis guys had come out, I understand about the guys that live a great deal of distance away...
You local guys, we really need to get out as a group and hang out...
Mills mall (Lucky Strike (Hooter Bowling) MC racing (Slot Cars) NASCAR speed park (4 different Go kart Tracks (1 NASCar Tri Oval) Bring the entire family, Plenty to do for all... Trust me... We should get together here...

Well here are some pics (KO NSX took them)
