Sze Chi's 2002 GTC LED Tails...

Back in November/December, Peter wanted to have his DIY LED kit installed. I took on the task...

Thought I would post up some pics. Peter has the final installed pics, so I'll let him post those up. I forgot to bring my camera when I installed his tails...

Drivers Side before opening

Removed all the wire harness, gaskets and light guard

Carefully opened up... here are the outer diffuser lens

Outer lens

Inner diffuser lens

Organization is key, all loose parts placed in ziplock bags

Inner diffuser lenses removed

All internal parts ground down, and assembly washed and drying in the sun

Turn signal Inner diffuser must be cut and ground down

Passenger tail light

Reverse and Brake LED module installed

Turn signal test fit while the rest of the glued modules cure

Can't cut and grind the turn signal diffusers in the house!

Turn signal LED test fit after inner diffuser completely ground smooth

Turn signal LED module test fit from the rear

Curing the glue and drying the outer lenses

Turn signal LEd module assembled and glue curing

Drivers side light back together and harness installed

Drivers side light with new gasket installed

Gaskets installed on Drivers side and started on passenger side

Top side, ready for install

I wouldn't characterize separating the outer lenses as "hard" but it was definitely tedious. I'm not new to separating headlights or tail lights but because the NSX tails are so long, you can easily crack the lenses so a lot of care and patience must be taken to ensure there is zero damage, esp scratches or nicks that can be seen.
