Interesting. They shot this at El Toro Marine Base in Tustin, CA. I drove off base once for a TASTE OF LEXUS event and drove into the housing units, where they once housed marines, staff, etc. Since they closed the base down several years ago, they abandonded the housing units and a result, the entire place looks like a ghost town. Reminds me of a horror movie actually-the doors are ripped apart, weeds are growing everywhere, tree trunks are in the middle of the street..
