Timing belt tensioner replacement

Hi guys!

I'm currently in the process of replacing my timing belt / waterpump / crankshaft damper..

My problem is I just realized I did not buy a new timing belt tensioner!! :/

Meanwhile, I shecked in the Acura service manual and in the Wiki DIY article found here :

http://www.nsxprime.com/FAQ/DIY/timing-belt.pdf

And didn't find any reference to the replacement of that part...

Does anyone know if it has to be changed for a new one ? ( My car is a 1992 M/T with 60 000 KMs )

Many thanks in advance for your lights! :)

I always replace this. To do that much work and not do it, just does not work for me. If you reassemble the engine and later this fails, that would be bad. JMO.

Hi Larry,

About to do the timing belt/water pump replacement on my '91 NSX. Got the article that Gary Kentosh wrote, great I might add. He does reference your DIY write-up and was wondering if you might be willing to forward that to me so I don't miss any good tips/tricks.

Thanks for supporting us with great info like this.

My write up is integrated into Gary's document. So you have it all in that document;).
