Tips/Configs for a 18f/19r set-up

Hi Prime friends,

I am looking for tips/pictures/insights on an 18/19 set up for non-track, everyday driving. I have a 17/18 set-up currently that I will continue to use for track days. I currently am running with a 1.5" suspension drop. I'm looking for a set-up that will retain cornering performance for the canyon drives, but spruce up the "look" for date night with wifey too.

Any and all help/insight is greatly appreciated.

18x8 +38 with 215/35/18 tires
19x9.5 +29 with 275/30/19 tires

This will give an overall flush look with minimal to no rubbing for daily driving.

Mine are 18x8 +37 / 19x10 +30 on 215/35R18 front and 265/30R19. I'm lowered on Tein Mono Flex coils.

The front driver liner does rub on large bumps on the road, I can raise it but I like the stance I have now. Front pass only rubs on big bumps if I have a passenger. The Rears don't rub at all.

Cool. That was good advice because I am definite looking to lower my car. Need it badly! Right now I don't have any rub going on so hopefully I can remain that way. I only want about an inch lower all the way around though.

Full concur with others on this thread - your sit looks nice and you have exactly the style of rim I am seeking. Thank you very much for the insights to all on the thread so far - and thanks in advance for any other/new insights.

Awesome set up!

If you want that look, you'll need to lower another 2" or so!

And live with rubbing and not going into parking lots.

But it sure looks good.

Thanks, but like Angus said you will have to live with not going into parking lots/gas stations/fast food joints that have entrances w/ steep inclines. Its no inconvenience at all for me because if I'm driving the NSX I know which places to avoid. The front will rub but not constantly just on big bumps in the road & I can fix that w/ - camber. If you MUST go into places w/ steep inclines then get the VRH kit for the front http://www.umbrellaautodesign.com/content-pages/page-vrh_suspension

I tell you one thing though, I finished the makeover about 6 months ago & not once have I thought about raising the car or anything. My setup now compared to the 17/18 setup I had is like night & day. I fell in love with the car all over again, I wish I would've went 18/19 a whole lot sooner lol.

This is the widest I ever want to go while still keep it functional for heavy street/canyon/track driving. I get no rubbing but one size up in tire width or even a few milimeters more aggressive on offset and i'll be rubbadubdub city or you'll have to do camber adjustment to prevent rubbing not for handling adjustments.

I drive my car how all NSXs should be driven! :)

DG-5 Coilover Suspension

Canyon/Street Setup
Enkei RPF1 Type RC
Front 18x8.5 +42 215/35/18 (225 NOT OK)
Rear 19x10 +27 265/30/19 (275 OK)

Track Setup
I swap into 17/18 SSR Type C for the track running on 235s/275s. The front rubs a little at full lock and front neg camber needs to be max (which is where I like it). I also raise the car about 1/4" all around.

EDIT TO ADD: Keep in mind going to low comes at a price. There's a certain point where the geometry starts to get all out of whack (bump steer will eventually become an issue, etc). However, there are remedies for this. Just FYI..
