So cal
I picked up a set of light weight SSR and I do understand I better be careful over potwholes. I need to know what would be a perfect front and rear tire size to be flush with the fender and what size if needed spacers will I have to run??

Rims are 18x9.5 rear +50
Frt are 17X7.5 +42
The PO was running 275-35-18 & 235-40-17
But I have seen info with other running 265 rear and 215 frt. Thats a big differance, So what is best for my Rims.
Thanks for the input.

Re: Tires for SSR comp rims ????

235/40/17s and 275/35/18s aren't bad, they just usually rub. Actually almost always if you don't have the right offset. It looks like you might be close, so I'd see if you have any rubbing with that combo (if the POs tires are still on the wheels.)

If they are, I know most are going to call me a nimwhit... but I'd go 235/40/17 and 295/30/18s if you have a 94+ NSX. You could go 215/40/17 also in the front with the 295s, but I think you will see it feels unbalanced with that much of an increase in the rear contact patch without something added to the front. You could add NSX-R Chassis Bars which would balance out the extra grip in the rears (I did that, so I know have the NSX-R Chassis Bars with 215 fronts, and 295 rears...)

Or just stick to the standard 215/40/17 front and 275/35/18 rears. If its an 18x9 I say 265s, if its 18x8.5 255s.

Stick with 215/40-17 and 265/35-18 to avoid rubbing and to keep the TCS operational for all model years. The excellent Goodyear F1 GS-D3 comes in those sizes (and there's a $40 rebate offer on them right now).

Re: Tires for SSR comp rims ????

Hopefully the rears are back in stock... They've been on BO for a while now :(
