Trunk Mis Alignment

I was detailing my car today and noticed the driver side part of the trunk does not line up with the fender. The other side is perfect but this side is lower. The rear wing lines up with both fenders but it doesnt along the side.

If you try to bend it wont it just screw up the other side as well?

Is it possible to fix this without buying a new trunk?

heres some pics.

Car has never been in any accidents. I dont know how this could have happened:confused:

Thanks in advance,
Matt

matt,
shims are installed between the trunk and the latch to lower the latch so that the truck deck is higher (to meet the fenders) then if one side is still low the rubber stop on that side is made heigher to slightly raise that side. we can look at yours at pag on sat if you would like

I ended up putting 2 washers on each bolt between the trunk lid and the metal piece that holds it up. It matches perfectly. Looks like Oem again

you fixed it the right way. you can get shims from acura that are the shape of the latch if you don't like the look of the washers. but great job. you going sat?

I think im going to Pasadena on Sat, if i don't ill prob show up.

Can you send me a link to the shims?

Thanks in advance Tom.
