tyre weights?

Does/has anyone weighed their tyres?

I spend so much time looking at wheel weights as part of my wheel selection- but i felt the difference in an 18" tyre and an oem 16".... in my hand it felt like there was quite a difference!

Does anyone factor this is when quoting 'wheel weights' ?

You can look up most tire/tyre weights at www.tirerack.com. They often show weights for tires/tyres that are currently available.

This is what I was going to suggest as well.

While I even admit to overlooking tire weight often, tire weight can make a difference as the weight is placed further from the center of rotation. Which creates an exponentially higher moment of inertia for the tire/wheel assembly. Luckily tires only vary a few pounds from manufacturer to manufacturer.
