The following are descriptions for the group drive choices:

Monte Cristo
A 30-mile canyon/alpine drive with an optional 30-mile descent to Woodruff in the Bear River Valley. Like other drives that run east from valley towns into the mountains, the Ogden River Scenic Byway follows a narrow canyon away from the urban center and up into spectacular alpine landscapes. Along the way to its high point of nearly 9,000 feet at Monte Cristo Summit, it passes through a complex quartzite gorge, a beautiful high valley, and some of the finest mountain meadows and forest in northern Utah. Also along the way are significant manmade attractions: a genuine monastery and prize-winning hamburgers.

Trappers Loop
This Backway is U-167 and begins in the town of Mountain Green. It continues to Huntsville on U-39. The Trappers Loop is nine miles long and requires less than 20 minutes travel time. Road Conditions: The road is paved with two travel lanes and passing lanes on uphill stretches. Portions of the loop have a steep grade. The route is open year-round and readily traveled in passenger vehicles. Scenery and Attractions: Flanked by rolling hills covered in brush and aspen, this Backway provides splendid views of the backside of Mt. Ogden and of Snowbasin Ski Area and Strawberry Bowl. Surrounding mountain peaks add interest, and wildlife watching opportunities abound. Trappers Loop is a major point of access to Ogden area ski resorts and summer recreation favorites.

I know that I am in and looking forward to the Drive. Since this might be one of the last drives of the year, It would be cool to see how many NSX's we can get there for a single showing. Hope to see everyone out.

It was a blast:
