I just had a tire replaced and when I went to check the air pressure at home, my pressure gauge could not get a reading. It looks like the center part of the valve stem is much further down from the top than usual. It's too deep for any of my airpressure gauges or air pumps. I'm going to check back with them when they open on Tuesday but I'd like some background knowledge.
I would think that the spacing would be pretty standard and impossible to change. Any ideas on what happened? There is air in the tire so it's not stuck open...
