viper alarm working with door security light?

is there a way to make my viper alarm, make the stock indicator light on the door flash when activated? i noticed the indicator by the door lock the other day, and thought it would be a good way to let thieves know its got a alarm. i have a blue led on my cluster bezel, so i guess i could tee off of that and tie it into the wiring. i have the wiring diagrams so it shouldn't be that difficult to do. anyone ever done this?

Do you still have the factory alarm? You can arm the factory alarm with lock on the viper and it will light up automatically. Make sure to also hook up the disarm wire to unlock as well. Otherwise, that LED in the door has a wire that can be found behind the glove box
