A friends Volkswagen GTI 2009 turbo manual is due for service (40K service) and the dealer is quoting her over $1200 for the job.

Any recommendations in the east bay / south bay (Dublin, San Ramon/Fremont) for a reputable/reasonable service shop or mechanic.

The 40K service for a GTI calls for a ~4 hour job (+ parts) per Mitchell/ Alldata- (less if its an Automatic)

Parts ~< $300-

I can't tell u how many friends I've seen just pour $$$$ into that brand name.
