I'm considering a 2006 with manual transmission, under 60k miles, 1 owner as a daily driver. Anyone have experiences to share? I have heard both good and bad. Other car I'm considering is a highly modified '05 Cooper S which is more fun and can also do some track days, but I've had Minis in the past and maybe time for something more comfortable. Thanks.

My V70r ( I need the big wagon) has the same engine ,manual tranny AWD etc. I also have sport springs and the IDP ecu mod. 335 hp.
It is fast and sticks like glue.Very comfortable to drive,great seats. Driving the manual is a bit tricky to be fast and smooth as the turbo reves drop a bit while shifting. The engine sounds are not very exciting with the stock exhaust.
