email reply from "Andy"

"car has a clean title. i request $3,000 advance for my car to cover shipping
costs and insurance. i will proceed with shipping after advance is received.
after car is delivered you must pay the balance within 7 days.

let me know your decision.

Thanks,
Andy

P.S.: I will sell the car to you when advance is confirmed. considering that
there are more than 48 hours till end you have time to confirm in the
morning the transfer, after that i will close the auction."

Wonder if he knows why all the sudden he is getting blasted w/emails about peope "wanting" the car bad??? :rolleyes:

Thanks for the quick reply. The car's in Grand Rapids, right? I'd like to have a friend take a look at the car for me. I have a buddy in Elkhart, IN and another in the Detriot-metro area. What's your schedule like tomorrow? Also, please give me your phone number so we can discuss the deal. Thanks.

Sorry, but Grand rapids was last time for my registration. Car is in Detroit, MI. I am starting job tomorrow morning till midnight so if you are willing to come, I will take a break for you.

My buddy works in Dearborn. How close is this to where you are? Can he look at the car around 6PM tomorrow (while there's still light out so he can take some close-up pictures)? Give me call 512-xxx-xxxx, I'd like to get a run down of the history from you. Thanks.

Sorry Ojas, But I found a buyer that is really interested and he will proceed in the morning with advance for $5,000 that meets my terms and I will have it shipped by the end of the next business day. sorry but my schedule won't allow me to show the car to anyone because I will be in Washington DC all day. If you have a better way to beat my other buyer let me know.</div>

Lame... no phone # and can't even keep his story straight. :p

NSXinBRLA, do you have any idea who this guy really is?

I am just worried that someone is getting suckered for $5000... we need to stop this..

Absolutely none. Its the classic wire the money scam. I think another prime member is the one about to get wire instructions. Hopefully that can help the Feds track him.
