Here's what my speed was- 5.261 Mbps
(673.41 KBps)
It always varies, depending on the time of day. I recently got cable(after waiting for it to come to my area). The wait of 5years was worth it, as I had dial up before. No going back now!

I am also on a cable modem, the only difference may be that I commect to the network through a wireless 802.11b commection.

Yeah, I must be the only one in my area to get that fast of connection. I'm sure it will get slower when others get service. BTW, it's thru Verizon. They had a special going of 20bucks for 3mos. and 60 thereafter. No contracts either and it was free to get hooked up, with no cancellation fees ever.

I have the same deal with my cable company 3 mos 19.99 then 39.99 after
