How does one detach those plastic retainers which hold the wheel well liners on? I pry'd one and the head just broke off--or is that what's supposed to happen?

If I recall exactly, you just press the middle portion down. Its like a 'push button' in the middle. It should be able to be removed after you do this with ease.
Push the round center in and then try removing the fastner.

Your going to laugh when I tell you this. Just push in on center and they pop up and then pull out. I broke a couple before I accidentally discovered the secret.

FYI those fender well retainers are one product you can get from any Honda dealer for a lot less than you can getthem from an Acura place. They may ee slightly different but take one to a Honda dealer to buy-- Save $$$
