When is too much carbon fiber too much carbon fiber?

I love CF, but is there a point where you can have too much CF?

In a vehicle that is prone to flipping, why would you use such overpriced parts? Plastic is thin, light, cheap and forgivable. Only the arms, frame and tank need to be CF to serve a cycle, unless you are truely team sponsored.

I agree it's excessive, I am sure they did it just to say they did. As far as teh benefit to some of the parts, I am sure it's negligible compared to parts that are normally plastic.
 
Wow! How wickedly stiff would that bike be?

I can atest to how bad CF is when it breaks having crashed a CF road bike! It shatters into splinters...:mad:
