That’s impressive. Not even three cars per week.

What is the total number built this year to date?

Guesstimation below

228 sold in the US YTD and 23 new listed on cars.com sums to 251

Assuming US builds are 50% of all builds, so i think about 500 came out of the PMC in 2019

on the plus side every one that comes off the line should be meticulously built .....

My understanding on this topic a while back from the NSX Specialist is there can be issues with having staff go make Accords while the PMC doesn't have sufficient orders and then having to bounce back to NSX production

oh.......:frown:

Dont you worry. Honda has a plan to keep PMC busy. Techs will not go back to building Acura Accords. They will do another 360 units run of groovy red colored MDXs now that they are finished building 360 red TLXs.

The update:

The PMC has finished the run of TLX cars and is now into the MDX SUV project.

Eleven cars last month does suck.

The new cars being built are mostly yellow.

The 2020 model has the new 2 stage horn that was mentioned previously. Easy retrofit for older cars.

The F and the F movie featuring the Gen 2 should be out soon.

LA autoshow produced a lot of leads, not much new product there except for the C8.

Guesstimate that about 30 Gen 2 cars have crashed, with 1 in transit to the PMC for repair.

A recent crash only damaged the roof (strange), A pillars are bolt on and than a new CF roof and the car will be good to go.

2021 will have a new color, maybe a metallic version of the Smurf blue used in a previous BMW M3 launch.

2022 will be more of a refresh with the new front end (think pentagon grill), so the car is not getting killed soon.

Things are very quiet on the ownership front contact the Specialists.

What a Joke. Acura doesn't freaking understand how to sell cars.

Agreed, Acura did not do their homework prior to getting into this segment.

It will also be interesting to see how the new Tesla roadster does (no leather interior or real customization available) after the first groups of Tesla heads and hypercar bargain hunters (like me) get them.

I read an article today that said Porsche has taken 30,000 deposits on their new full electric Taycan model, 10K of which are firm..... From $103K-160K..... Achilles heel appears to be low range at just over 200 from what I read..... Like it or not, full electric is coming......

I was in LA last week and they had a pop up Porsche shop in the Santa Monica mall

Only 2 cars on the floor, a pristine 356 coupe and a Taycan Turbo S (I love how they maintained their nomenclature into the electric cars)

The Taycan is really cool looking and the interior details are great

The strange thing to me is regarding space

The getting in an out of the front or back sucked (NSX has nice long doors to plenty of room to pivot)

Once inside the Taycan, it is very comfortable and based on the early Youtube reviews, quite a blast to drive

It's a nice thing to address (R&D issues and warranty restitution), but to put it in perspective, last year Honda's R&D and restitution charges combined were less than a 25 billion yen hit on operating profit, whereas the currency effects hit alone was over 55 billion yen.

I'm not an international financial expert, but it seems like I'd be trying to do more to shelter my businesses from these fluctuations.
