Where's the bottom

So we found a car we like option wise:

MSRP: 191k

GM offered us the full $30k off but didn't mention any other discounts. In another thread someone mentioned a possible discount of up to 15% off MSRP which is roughly $28k

What's a good target price to get this car at?

With some work you should be able to get to 145..

Target 30% off msrp total which means $133,700 is as close to as best you can hope to do. Pay above that # based on how much you like the car itself, ease of acquisition (shipping vs no shipping)

thanks - apparently this dealer does not want to deal. Car is $191 MSRP, he offered the $30k off and that's it.

201k car with 150 promo miles asking 157k at dealer. What do you guys think, did they just price at the bottom to move or is there room?

There's still room, somewhere at $140-$150k....JM2C...I could be wrong...

Within a week of picking up my NSX, I had no less then 7 dealers reach out to try and cut a deal. Just be persistent and patient...JM2C...I could be wrong

Who knows. I’ve tried to circle back around with dealers who dealt slightly and try to push them farther and none will budge. I spent over a month and half on this whole thing and only got a few bites (for the large discounts) the rest was all decent or not much. I contacted over 100 dealers.

I’m glad I closed my deals when I did. Hopefully Rick can find his deal.

If you feel inclined you should throw out some bones for people space.

How did you get them to email you?

They had it on file after initial phone calls (I know dinosaur) I prefer talking to General Mgr' s as opposed to salespeople.

how much more?
i'm looking at a sticker 179800 car and best deal is 42k off
i left the deal on the table at 47k off
haven't heard back yet

here's my breakdown from a few weeks ago when incentives just rolled in.

16X MSRP - 40kish
18X MSRP - 50k MAX
20X MSRP - 60k MAX.

here is my breakdown now after inventory shrunk.

16X MSRP - 30kish
18X MSRP - 45k MAX
20X MSRP - 55k MAX.

you have to find dealers with a lower VIN # that have had their NSX for quite some time to give you a deep discount. A lot of dealers i've chatted with, that semi base packaged ones are holding on to them. I was close to pulling the trigger on a base until i chatted with Chris @ SOS about the OEM CF etc.

What is considered a low VIN right now? And what do you mean by the OEM carbon fiber?

What about the CF?

I got 2 cars 1 with carbon fiber one without.

I would say stay away from it, besides maybe the roof, but the ones with the roof most likely have other cf. It looks great but the placement is all wrong. The front cf piece damages easily and I’m not talking about scrapes I’m talking about rocks. It doesn’t cave in but it has spots that look like watermarks that are there. The side skirt got scrape by the valet the other day too. It doesn’t appear to hold up well.

I'm a CF freak and Chris only had great things to say about the quality from Acura. If that's coming from SOS then for me that means a lot especially since i'd want those CF bits anyways. He did state he wasn't a fan of the plastic that was used for the lip/skirts/diffuser. When i had the base car in semi lock-down for purchase, i tried to find out how much it was to add the CF decklid and it's quite a bit more compared to just adding it on the build sheet. Doesn't seem like many companies will be making exterior goods so for me it was a no brainer to get the ones Acura did make. It's all personal preference really if you're someone that loves little exterior goodies (like me) and has the extra $ then it's for you. I've easily spent 20k+ on CF goods for my GTR and easily more on my Gen1 NSX but to others they would rather use that for something else. Whatever floats your boat, that's the beauty of car culture we're all so different yet we all have one common thing.. WE LOVE CARS :)

It's dry CF in the lower front of a supercar.. what do you expect? protect it with clear bra and call it a day.

Oh forgot to mention, the NC1 owners i talked to on FB that got the higher MSRP said they never looked back and really love the small CF bits so that really cemented my decision as well.

It is nice looking. Like you said if you love it get it. Relative to Ferrari and Mclaren it appears they skimp on making it noticeable.

Or maybe get the aimgain carbon pieces. Man those are looking nice from the few pics I find.

Carbon Fiber is a love / hate! We will be releasing a lot of CF photos once we finish development.

We have the only 2nd gen CF steering wheel on the market right now :)

As for the wing, we are going to be making a dry carbon wing for the NSX that is similar to what we offer for the Huracan - it's a dual decklid that requires no drilling. Can't say much more right now.

We agree, the must have CF for the new NSX is the carbon roof! This is a really nice piece and makes the car look more exotic especially compared to what McLaren is doing with their MSO program, check out the detail here:

here's our Huracan wing, will be doing fitment testing on the new NSX in the upcoming months:

Got tired of playing games with Acura dealers. Went and bought myself an R8 V10 plus. Got a nice $31k off MSRP.

Congrats! :)

In a way, starting to feel the same with these games....cannot believe a dealer in IL won't lease a car to a CA resident.
