Why there are so many discontinued parts for NC1?

What?? You can’t buy, meaning parts are unavailable or cannot be purchased by the public?

Regardless, this appears to now impact your rebuild.

so is this an attempt to restrict the rebuilding of cars outside the pmc?

any more info on parts limitations?

Most these parts are made in batches and if the backorder eta is long enough theyll just list it as discontinued. The right side is likely out of stock because thats side that gets the most wear and damage from steep driveway entries. When they start another batch run they'll updated it as available but sometimes you have to ask the dealer to make an inquiry as they dont always update as parts become available .

You are right. Finally I got rear horns for my project NSX. Parts listed as discontinued can be ordered and you may get lucky.

These manufacturers are embracing the new lean culture and don't want to hold a huge surplus of parts anymore like we were used to having since sitting product becomes a liability. Having a small amount of available sitting stock boost their numbers when its time to reveal stock quarterly earning reports. Most manufacturers ramp up production and try to finish as many orders in there queue right before these quarterly reports.
