not sure, my dads rears are 18x9.5 and he has 275/35s. so that tire seems a little narrow, id guess youd need atleast 275, but im no tire expert, id go to tires.com and ask them.
It depends on the tire. For whatever tire make and model you are considering, go to the tire manufacturer's website (or the website for a dealer like the Tire Rack) and look up the specs. It will show the range of approved rim widths for the tire.
For example, the specs for the Bridgestone Potenza S-03 show that the 255/35-18 tire is approved for rim widths of 8.5 to 10 inches, so that tire can be mounted on an 18x10 rim. However, since this is at the maximum of the approved range, it may appear somewhat "stretched" on the rim.
