Just had a nice drive in my '91 (46K miles, purchased this last April)...all fine.

Got home left car in driveway before garaging (about 30 minutes), dark by now.

When I went to restart:
open door...interior lights and ignition switch illuminate
insert key, ignition to ON, turn to START.

ALL electrics fail..no lights, ignition...nada.

Close door, Pop hood to check battery, all appears OK.

Open door, NOW interior lights on, switch to ON, panel lights ON and OK, START -fires right up all systems are OK.

Into garage, try stop/start sequence several times...problem does not re-occur.

Any ideas or similar experiences ???

Check your ignition switch.
They can give trouble after 25 years.

Make sure you confirm battery terminals are tight. You should not be able to twist them, even sightly. I have seen this many times......

Same problem had with mine, it was the old battery terminals. Replaced them with Ben from Daisy Import's NSX battery terminals, much better!

Like others pointed out: first check battery connectors, then ignition switch. Also next time try coming up with better name for the thread.

I had the same issue. Took out battery and had it tested - all good.

Got new battery terminals and heat wrapped the two positive wires and carefully reinstalled everything. All good now.

Many thanks

Looks as if I need to check the battery connections...thanks to everybody that responded.

I will post again after I try this.

To solidol...I'll choose a better name next time as well !

Chalk this one up to "shit happens"

Prolly a one time glitch....hopefully.
