Is a stereo a mod or an accessory?

To me, mod mean modification to increase performance. Lights, leather, shift knobs, mats, etc...are accessories IMO. However, some would say, "If it did not come on the car then it's a mod".

$0.02

Well, I did have to buy an aftermarket center console from overseas:rolleyes: so the radio would fit. That is why I considered it a mod. I guess I shouldn't clarified that a bit and mentioned the console also.

owning a 91 it's easy to confuse a mod with maintenance repair...i've spent a lot more on the later.

1st 5 mods:
1. Bilsteins (using lower perch on stock springs)
2. Top Speed headers + HKS exhaust
3. Grom iPod adapter
4. NA2 Brake Upgrade
5. removed the oem factory air box resonator tubing (free!)

For my '92 red/black…

1. Ditched the windshield wipers.
2. '97-'01 wheels.
3. '95-'96 round tip exhaust.
4. Honda conversion.
5. Dali black coated coolant bottle.
6. Zanardi floor mats and trunk mat.
7. Integra Type R shift knob (same as NSX knob but with red stitching and 5-speed shift pattern).
8. iPod adapter (USA•SPEC)

my favorite mods
1. Test pipes
2. Exhaust
3. Windshield wipers removed (thanks guys for helping me on the bandwagon)
4. removing the seat cushion to fit in the car
5. lowering the car on eibach's

I would have stayed stock if the car when bought was stock. When bought the car was painted pearl black (originally formula red). Wheels were 16/17 Black Racing three piece wheels and lowered. Exhaust installed was HKS sports. All by previous owner.

The first five mods I did were:
1. Dreamzsport CF wings.
2. Tein RA coilovers.
3. Double din DVD player.
4. Total 02 widebody conversion and blue paint.
5. Going 02 NSX-R look.

Now I have plan to go R-GT look.

Exhaust

Lowering springs or coil overs

wheels

intake

headers

(Oh yeah, and go Honda Conversion. emblems and airbag if you don't plan on changing your steering wheel.)

I kept the first 5 mods pretty cheap and excited to spend more for the more necessary items like BBK, Turbo, Exhaust, JDM gears

1. Short Shifter Kit
2. HID
3. Custom aftermarket Stereo system
4. Momo Steering wheel with disconnect hub
5. Sway-Bars

My priority is perf over bling
1) Dali window fixit thing (don't know if this really counts)
2) RM Racing exhaust
3) Alpine S634 changer
4) Cantrell headers
5) Prospeed chip
6) SOS ABS system upgrade

Car already had a harness bar; upgraded brakes/drilled & slotted rotors; lowered seat cushion; and after market shift knob. Then I had to add DRL and child seat anchor before I could drive it (importing to Canada rules).

Purchased but uninstalled are: seven spoke wheels; 15/25mm spacers; and Dali powdercoated round coolant tank. Bilsteins are next on the list

First five "mod's" I did to the car.

1. Remove window tint;

2. new style water pump;

3. install original 91 style wheels;

4. clean injectors;

5. remove front license plate.
