Yes, my Resonated TEST PIPES are not too loud and are very smooth and mellow. Increases the sound across the board over factory cats, but not by a lot, just enough for you to think, wow, that's how it should sound from the factory. I enjoy mine for sure.

WAIT! Really, an NSX for your first car? Get a BMW or something if you're a car guy and have fun with it for a few years and when you're ready and you have a house/garage, then buy an NSX. Just my opinion based on what you've told us so far.

So you're passing, but just barely? If that's the case just keep what you've got and forget about it. What year is your car? If it's older perhaps in your state after 20 or 25 years old you won't have to do Emmissions testing anymore so you may just have a few more tests to pass.
